HP Hewlett-Packard Printer Problems

Most of the problems that I encounter with HP printers have to do with corrupt or missing drivers. The symptoms are usually that the printer was working fine and then all of a sudden it won’t print. If it is an all in one printer with scanner and or fax and printer you may find that the fax and scanner work fine but it will not print. The most common cause is that it is out of ink so be sure that you check your ink levels first.

If you are certain that your ink levels are fine then go to HP’s Software & Driver Downloads page and enter your printers product number. They have a nifty little utility that can detect and repair most of your printer issues. You will need a high speed connection before attempting this repair as the files are sometimes rather large and can take considerable time to download on a dial up connection.
